Prism is a supportive community for LGBTQ+ students at St. Jerome's University, federated with the University of Waterloo. Founded in winter of 2017, Prism began as a group of first-year students dedicated to cultivating a safe and inclusive environment for queer and questioning folks on the St. Jerome's campus. Since its inception, Prism has grown to become an important fixture at SJU, championing discussion and education about LGBTQ+ issues, sexual health, mental health, and social justice. Prism hosts weekly meetings and monthly events to promote an inclusivity on campus and facilitate communication among people from many walks of life.
